Upcoming classes/workshops and events

Cathy is a lifelong lover of animals and has had horses, dogs or both throughout most of her life. Cathy has raised several puppies, one of her current dogs, a Dutch Shepherd named Sachi, is a rescue who was feral for the first 3 months of her life and had to be netted to be caught. She was spayed at 4 months old and then arrived at Cathy's. Through time and positive reinforcement based training Cathy helped Sachi become a well-adjusted dog that gets along well with both people and other dogs. She is a model guest at hotels when traveling and her dog boarding place, for out of town travel without dogs, loves her. She recently has had major medical issues and vets have commented on how sweet and easy she is to handle, eventhough she has been through so many major procedures. 

        You too can have a well adjusted pup to be proud of. 

K9 RatPack! rat sports classes are taught by dog trainer Cathy Leavitt. Cathy has completed Karen Pryor’s Dog Trainer Program and regularly attends workshops with experts such as Susan Clothier, Ken Rameriz and Shade Whitesel to expand her dog training skill set and is up to date on the latest scientific developments.   She has been an educator for 17 years and taught dog training classes for the past 8 years.  Cathy also competes in Barn Hunt, NASDA events and scentwork at the local, regional and national level so she understands how to get the best out of your dog too.
